SvelteKit — the framework that compiles away
Svelte takes a fundamentally different approach to JavaScript frameworks. Instead of shipping a virtual DOM and runtime to the browser, Svelte compiles your components to plain, optimised JavaScript at build time. The result is smaller bundles, faster page loads, and less JavaScript for the browser to parse — with no framework overhead at runtime. SvelteKit adds SSR, file-based routing, and a full-stack capability on top of Svelte.
What we build
- SvelteKit websites — SSR and static generation for fast, SEO-optimised pages
- Svelte SPAs — interactive frontends with minimal JavaScript footprint
- SvelteKit + headless CMS — WordPress REST API, Wagtail, Contentful, Sanity
- SvelteKit e-commerce — fast storefronts connected to WooCommerce or Shopify
- Svelte component libraries — reusable UI systems for your product
- SvelteKit + Tailwind CSS — rapid, responsive UI with zero runtime overhead
- SvelteKit API routes — full-stack apps with server-side endpoints
- Migration from Gatsby or Create React App to SvelteKit
SvelteKit vs Next.js
Both handle SSR and static generation. SvelteKit produces smaller bundles and has a gentler learning curve. Next.js has a larger ecosystem and more hiring pool. For performance-critical public sites, SvelteKit often wins on Core Web Vitals. We build both — we will help you choose the right one for your project.
