Our Story
The name was coined in 2009.
The hustle started the same day.
Unitrai wasn't built — it was earned. The earliest verified record goes back to January 2008 — a data entry project found through a free internet advertising site. No platform, no profile, no agency name. Then on 26 September 2009, the first local client arrived through a referral — a Joomla 1.x website. The name "Unitrai" was coined, the domain registered that December. Within a year the work had reached international freelance markets, taking web design and SEO projects for clients in the UK and US. No investors, no team, no safety net. Just delivery.
The skills compounded. Web design became PHP. PHP became full-stack web development. The biggest single project started on Elance in 2013 — when Elance and oDesk merged into Upwork in March 2014, it carried over and closed at $29,754. Enterprise scope, solo delivery. That engagement shaped how Unitrai thinks about client work ever since.
oDesk and Elance merged into Upwork. The personal profile grew steadily — 90 completed jobs, $90K+ earned, 4,748 logged hours by 2022, built almost entirely on PHP, MySQL, jQuery, WordPress, plugin development, API integrations, and automation. In May 2024, after 15 years of sole proprietorship, Unitrai was formally incorporated as a Private Limited Company — the infrastructure to match the ambition.
2008

Elance + oDesk = Upwork. $29,754 earned.
March 2014 — the platforms merged and rebranded as Upwork. The Elance project carried over and closed at $29,754. The track record, intact.
2018
Deep into API integrations and automation.
WordPress, plugin development, full-stack PHP, Python, Django, FastAPI, and complex API integrations became the core service. The work grew in scope and value.
2022
90 jobs. $90K+. 4,748 hours.
Personal Upwork profile milestone. Built almost entirely on PHP, MySQL, jQuery, WordPress, plugin development, API integrations, and automation — the core of the craft.
2024
Incorporated. Private Limited.
May 2024 — Unitrai registered as a Private Limited Company. 15 years of sole proprietorship formalised into a structure built to scale.
